    Abstract

    The results of a beam test using the Engineering model of the GLAST large area telescope installed in a beam of positrons, hadrons and tagged photons was described. A method to improve the energy resolution in calorimetry which uses the correlation between the escaping energy and the energy deposited in the last layer of the calorimeter was developed. The achievements of this beam test were the completion of a full tower system integration, development of the data processing path and validation of the performance of the back section of the tracket.
