Abstract

The modeling of energy efficient secure wireless networks using network simulation was discussed. The mobile test bed and experimental methodology was described and the energy measurement results were summarized. The energy consumed by various tasks during an Internet security protocol (IPSec) secure wireless session while transmitting and receiving 20 MB data with 1500 bytes packet size was also summarized.
