Abstract

The secondary structure of isotactic polyketones is studied using the study of optical activity, as measured by circular dichroism, as a function of temperature in the solid amorphous state. The idea is that the glassy state would restrict the motions necessary for allowing change in the secondary structure, if present, and therefore optical activity could change only above the glass transition temperature. The results obtained and presented and discussed in details.
