    Abstract

    Group treatment is frequently viewed as treatment of choice for people abusing or addicted to alcohol and other drugs (substance abusers). The purpose of this paper is to discuss the dynamics of substance abusers and present a model of treatment during the early phases of outpatient group therapy.
