Calculated cross sections for the multiple ionization of neon and silicon atoms by electron impact

Abstract

Cross sections for the formation of Nem+ (m = 1-10) and Sim+ (m = 1-14) ions by electron impact on the neutral atoms have been calculated using the previously introduced semi-classical Deutsch-Mark (DM) formalism. Our calculated cross sections for the formation of Ne4+ and Ne5+ are compared with available experimental and theoretical data.
