Abstract

A method for analytically evaluating the reaction matrix elements of microstrip antennas and arrays in a spectral-domain moment method is presented. The validity and accuracy of the method is demonstrated for several substrate environments, for a range of element separations. The computational efficiency of the spectral-domain moment method can be greatly enhanced with similar analytical-numerical approaches for asymptotic evaluation.
