Abstract

We consider a plane isotropic homogeneous elastic body with thin elastic inhomogeneities in the form of small neighborhoods of simple smooth curves. We derive a rigorous asymptotic expansion of the boundary displacement field as the thickness of the neighborhoods goes to zero.
