Abstract

An overview is given on the first rigorous results linking the long-time behavior of Glauber dynamics to a trap model in the context of the "simplest spin glass" model, the random energy model (REM). The main advantage taken from this is the fact that the equilibrium properties of the model are perfectly understood.
